COVINGTON, Ga. – A woman told authorities that a man crawled through her neighbor’s pet door and stole a bicycle Tuesday afternoon.

According to a Newton County Sheriff’s Office incident report, the Cowan Road woman told a deputy that she saw the man in front of her neighbor’s garage before he moved a trash can, kicked in the pet door and crawled inside.

Once inside, the suspect reportedly raised the garage door and took off on a red sport bike on Cowan Road heading toward Oak Hill.

According to the report, the woman does not know the neighbor.
