COVINGTON, Ga. – Investigators with the Newton County Sheriff’s Office are looking for the three people responsible for abducting and robbing a man out walking early Wednesday morning.

According to a NCSO incident report, deputies responded to a location on Campbell Road just past 2:20 a.m. on a report of an armed robbery.

NCSO spokesperson Sgt. Cortney Morrison said the victim told authorities he was walking through his neighborhood on Argyl Way around 2 a.m. when three men wearing all black and masks pointed a gun at him and told him to get into their vehicle.

The men reportedly drove him approximately 13 miles before dropping him off on East End Road. The victim told deputies the robbers took his cellphone, wallet and Jordan shoes.
