Indecent exposure call uncovers armed robbery

COVINGTON, Ga. – A Newton County Sheriff’s Office deputy responded to a report of indecent exposure early Wednesday morning and found an armed robbery victim whose clothes had been stolen.

According to the NCSO incident report, Deputy Destiny McKnight responded to the call at the intersection of Jack Neely Road and Fairview Road at 12:26 a.m. April 26. The victim reportedly told the deputy that after he was struck in the head, the perpetrator pulled a gun on him and stole all of his clothing. According to the report, the only things not stolen were his shoes and his mother’s debit card.

NCSO said that no charges of indecent exposure were filed against the victim.
