COVINGTON, Ga. – A
Carlton Trail home was hit by gunfire late Wednesday night leaving it with
multiple bullet holes, police said.
According to a Covington Police Department incident report, Officer Rory Barber responded to the home Thursday morning after the complainant found the damage and notified police.
The complainant reportedly told Barber he heard five or six gunshots between 10:30 p.m. – 11 p.m. Nov. 1.
According to the report, Barber observed what appeared to be four bullet holes in the house. Two of the bullets struck the siding of the house and stopped.
The other two bullets entered the house through a window. One stopped in the sheetrock in the garage. The other bullet traveled through the garage and into the living room, before stopping in a bathroom wall.
No shell casings were found at the scene.
