COVINGTON, Ga. - Investigators with the Covington Police Department are looking for whoever broke into a house on Clark Street Tuesday and stole a gun.

According to a CPD incident report, the victim told officers she left her house at around 1 p.m. April 24 and when she returned at 4:30 p.m. she noticed that her back door was open and her house had been burglarized.

The woman’s boyfriend reportedly told police he had been at the residence at 4:00 p.m. and everything was normal. A 32-inch flat screen TV and a Hi-Point .40 caliber pistol were missing from the house.

According to the report, the molding around the front door was damaged as if the door had been pried open.
