COVINGTON, Ga. – Deputies responding to a Mother’s Day family fight deployed a Taser to arrest a Newton County man after he tried to keep them from conducting their investigation.
According to a Newton County Sheriff’s Office incident report, deputies were dispatched to the home on McGiboney Drive just after 11 a.m. May 13 on the report of a family fight. When they arrived at the home, 36-year-old Justin Ryan Wilbanks reportedly assumed an aggressive fighting stance.
