Conyers Police looking for suspects involved in assault on police

CONYERS, Ga. - The Conyers Police Department (CPD) is asking for help in identifying three suspects involved in an assault on police incident Aug. 1. 

The suspects, identified as black males, attempted to pass a fraudulent prescription at Beasley's Drugs, 933 Center St., in Conyers, according to a CPD news release. He fled once he was confronted by police by jumping into the passenger side of a white 2015 or 2016 model Ford F-150 XLT. 

The officer reportedly grabbed the suspect as he entered the vehicle and was drug while the driver sped away. The officer let go of the suspect to avoid further injury. 

The vehicle was last seen headed west in the direction of DeKalb County. 

Any information leading to the arrest of the suspects may result in a cash reward of up to $2,000.
