COVINGTON, Ga. - A student at Liberty Middle School is being disciplined after comments were made "that were a cause for concern," Newton County School System Director of Public Relations Sherri Davis said. 

Davis said school administrators and deputies from the Newton County Sheriff's Office identified the student after another student reported the comments. 

"The student will be disciplined according to the student code of conduct," Davis said. 

NCSO Deputy Latavia Washington could not provide any immediate information in regards to the incident.
