COVINGTON, Ga. - A 55-year-old Carrollton man found himself spending a night in the Newton County Jail after a road rage incident on Interstate 20.

Newton County Sheriff's Deputy Michael Gregg told The Covington News that Dennis Eugene Huffman was upset after another driver cut him off on the interstate. Huffman was driving a 2017 white Nissan Titan truck at the time of the incident.

"He pulled up beside her and pointed his handgun at her while driving down I-20 westbound," Gregg said. "He did not shoot the gun."

Huffman was arrested March 31 charged with reckless conduct and pointing or aiming gun/pistol at another, both of which are misdemeanor charges. He was released April 1 on a cash bond.
