OXFORD, Ga. – Authorities are looking for a suspect after a man said he was robbed near Oxford Monday.
According to a Newton County Sheriff’s Office incident report, the victim told deputies he was walking on Stone Street near Cedar Ridge Drive shortly before 4 p.m. when the suspect came up from behind him and demanded his belongings. The victim said he gave up his property and both males ran away from each other.
The suspect was described as a black male, approximately 5 feet 11 inches tall wearing a white shirt and black or red pants. He was reportedly carrying a black revolver.
