Authorities looking for Covington man missing more than a week

COVINGTON, Ga. - Authorities are looking for a Covington man who has been missing more than a week.

According to a Covington Police Department spokesman, Marvin Johnson has been missing since Jan. 23 when he left his home at 9100 Bent Pine Court after an argument with family members.

King is described as being approximately 6’3” and weighing 185 lbs. He was last seen wearing gray shoes, blue jeans with a red stripe down the side, gray long sleeve shirt and a red jogging suit under his jeans. King was also wearing a brown jacket.

According to the spokesman, King has been diagnosed with bipolar disorder and schizophrenia and is not taking any medication. He is reportedly known to panhandle around local businesses but has not been seen. Police have not received any information as to his whereabouts.

The spokesman said King is on Georgia Crime Information Center as a missing person and anyone who spots him should call 911.
