Rotary offers Santa a hand

Spreading cheer: The Covington Rotary has increased their list of children receiving a special Christmas gift from Santa this year. According to Rotarian Brook Collins, the Rotarians will be delivering Christmas cheer to 1,015 children in Newton County. This year the parishioners of the Church of the Good Shepherd in Covington contributed $2,000 to the Rotarians to help with this special Christmas undertaking. The parishioners raised these funds through their community outreach program, which featured spaghetti dinners, pancake suppers and special concerts.
