An award of up to $2,000 is offered in connection with the theft of heavy industrial equipment over the Thanksgiving holiday from the construction site on Reynolds Street behind the high-rise on Washington Street.

A Case Skid Steer and three attachments were taken between Nov. 24 and 29, according to Covington police. Officers are unsure when the equipment was stolen, but the security camera at the construction site was disabled around noon on Thanksgiving Day.

The reward is being offered by the owner of the machinery for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the thief.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Detective Steve Fowler at the police department at (770) 385-2126 or www.covingtonpolice.com.
