The Covington News and Covington-Newton County Chamber of Commerce have canceled the Covington candidate forum scheduled for Wednesday, Oct. 25.

The forum was canceled Wednesday because council candidate Keith Dalton was going to be unable to attend and mayoral candidate Bobby Sigman had announced that he had dropped out of the race. Sigman has since reversed that decision.

The News and chamber have decided it will be more efficient for The News to ask each candidate a series of questions.

Chamber members have submitted questions for candidates, and The News will also be asking questions. The News is also encouraging readers to send in questions.
