This is the last weekend to see the inaugural Covington’s Magical Lights of Christmas display downtown, as the lights will be taken down beginning Monday, weather permitting, according to Main Street Covington interim director Serra Phillips.
The city and Main Street Covington spent $40,000 this year to cover buildings and trees around the square in white lights.
This was the first year of a three-year contract Main Street signed with Live Events Solutions to provide increasingly elaborate lights displays.
