COVINGTON, Ga. - Covington City Councilman Chris Smith said a local resident presented him with a historic brick found on a city street earlier this month. After researching the found item, Smith discovered the brick originated from Fairfax City, South Carolina. The brick has since been returned to its hometown and how it ended up in Covington is still unknown. According to Google Maps, Fairfax City is 177 miles away from Covington.
