A 29-year-old Conyers man was arrested late Sunday night after 911 received a hang-up call from a hotel room he and a female were staying in.

When officers arrived at the Covington Lodge around 8:30 a.m., they could hear the couple arguing inside the room. After several attempts to get someone to come to the door, a female finally answered. The woman had abrasions and bruises and a cut on her arm, according to Capt. Ken Malcom.

When the female victim answered the door, the male, identified as Anthony Wayne Walden, ran into the bathroom and barricaded himself inside.

Officers were eventually able to get Walden to come out of the bathroom and, after interviewing both him and the female, arrested Walden for battery and interfering with a 911 call.
