Covington Town Hall Thursday

The public is invited to attend the second in a series quarterly town hall meetings held by the city of Covington at the Turner Lake Complex on Thursday evening.
The meeting will last from 5:30 p.m. until 7 p.m. and take place in the banquet room. Refreshments will be served.
Covington Mayor Kim Carter, City Manager Steve Horton, the six-member city council and various department heads will be in attendance.
Thursday's town hall will differ slightly from the first town hall held in August, which was more of an open format. This time Covington city council members will have prepared short topics for discussion including housing and the city's new motorized cart ordinance. Utilities will also likely be discussed.
Audience members can ask questions about any of the prepared topics. They can also ask questions that are not directly related to any of the short topics. Audience members can submit written questions at the event or can send them in ahead of time on provided postcards. They can also ask their questions verbally at the event, which will be moderated by FaithWorks Chairman Bob Furnad.
