For 18 years, the Newton County Community Band, under the direction of T.K. Adams, has delighted audiences with its festive holiday concerts, getting everyone in the spirit of the season.

The band will perform at 7:30 tonight in the Eastside High School auditorium, following a pre-concert discussion by Adams at 7:15 p.m. on the history of some of the songs.

The band will be joined by Adams’ son, Timothy K. Adams Jr., a former timpanist for the Pittsburgh Symphony and a professor of percussion at the University of Georgia.

The concert is free and open to the public.
