Infinity Network Solutions, Inc., a leading Information Technology services company for small to mid-sized businesses and public sector agencies, announced today the acquisition of CompuNet, Inc., a full service Networking and Internet solutions provider located in Macon, Georgia.
The decision to acquire CompuNet is seen as a strategic move into the banking and financial services arena-- a long-standing area of expertise for the services provider.
“This acquisition of CompuNet allows Infinity to gain immediate expertise in the banking industry and we are eager to earn further credibility in the marketplace,” said Robert C. Betzel, President and CEO of Infinity Network Solutions.
All staff of CompuNet will transfer to Infinity as part of the acquisition, and all clients of CompuNet will begin being served immediately by the combined team.
Albert Slocum, President of CompuNet, summed up the partnership, “In talking with the partners at Infinity about legacy and company culture, I knew partnering with them would be the best way to preserve what our team at CompuNet has worked so hard to build over the last twenty-plus years. I am proud of my team and how we have supported our clients, and I am excited to help Infinity take this to the next level.”
The acquisition of CompuNet follows closely on the heels of Infinity’s expansion into the Covington/Conyers marketplace and 2013’s acquisition of Giddens Network Services. These moves have been made by Infinity’s leadership team to further strengthen its position as an elite IT services provider in the region.
