The regional headquarters of Bodycote, a thermal processing service provider, is now located in Covington.
Bodycote, recently moved from Conyers to a 60,000 square foot facility on Chamisa Road, and will employee about 50 people.
The new facility will primarily serve automotive and general industrial customers, offering all of the processes and capabilities which were previously offered at the Conyers location.
According to a release from Bodycote, the company improves the properties of metals and alloys through metal joining, surface technology and Hot Isotatic Pressing through heat treatment. These treatments extend the life of vital components for a wide range of industries, including aerospace, defense, automotive, power generation, oil and gas, construction, medical and transportation.

Bodycote is a great addition for our industrial portfolio and another automotive supplier in the area. "
Bodycote has more than 170 accredited facilities in 21 countries, and is the world’s largest provider of thermal processing services.
