Armed robbery at CVS, suspect escapes

Conyers Police were investigating an armed robbery that occured Thursday morning at the CVS Pharmacy located at 1541 Ga. Highway 20, Conyers.

The police recevied a call around 9:20 a.m. about a white male, described as being in his 50s, who walked into the pharmacy, handed the cashier a note implying he had a gun in his black and gray Volcom brand backpack and that he was robbing the store, says Conyers Police Cpt. Jackie Dunn. 

The cashier gave the unknown suspect the till from the register, and then the man took off on foot out the store.

No one was injured during the incident. 

The gray-haired man was seen in the store wearing a yellow t-shirt, West Virginia hat, blue jeans and glasses. He's still at large, and the incident is still under inviestigation.
