Tickets on Sale for Piedmont Newton Hospital Benefit Concert

Tickets are now on sale for Concert for a Cause on Saturday, April 20 at Legion Field in Covington.

The annual benefit concert supports Piedmont Newton Hospital and, this year, all ticket sale proceeds will be directed to the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU). Funds from Concert for a Cause will go toward the purchase of additional equipment for the NICU, such as ventilators, incubators, phototherapy lights, and a neonatal transporter.

“The high-quality care the Piedmont Newton NICU provides gives families in our community with infants who require special care after birth the choice to stay close to home. That access to care, in turn, gives these new parents the freedom to focus on what matters most: their baby getting stronger and going home,” said Lindsey Petrini, chief executive officer at Piedmont Newton. “We are so grateful to the community for their support in making our NICU the best it can be.”

Tickets cost $25 each. There are also sponsorship opportunities available for larger amounts. Tickets can be purchased online until midnight the night before the concert and in person on-site on the day of the event.

Yacht Rock Schooner will headline. Chris, John and Scott will open the show. Concertgoers may arrive as early as 6:30 p.m. at Legion Field. Festivities will continue until about 10 p.m. Food trucks will be on-site, along with a cash bar provided by City Pharmacy.

“First and foremost, we appreciate the opportunity to get together with our neighbors and raise money for an important cause—and our business community and residents are always so generous with us,” said Andrea Lane, director of community relations at Piedmont Newton. “But our leaders and caregivers at Piedmont Newton also enjoy meeting with community members for a fun occasion instead of meeting for the first time in an emergency that requires a hospital visit. We can’t wait to see everyone on April 20!”

This is an outdoor event that will take place rain or shine. No seating will be provided, but attendees are welcome to bring their own chairs.

If you cannot wait until April 20 to party, come support Piedmont Newton the week before at Lucky Day Taco Shop on Floyd Street in Covington. On Friday, April 12, from 5 to 8 p.m., a portion of sale proceeds at Lucky Day will go toward Concert for a Cause and the Piedmont Newton NICU.
