A record number of participants competed Saturday in the 11th Annual Cheerios Challenge organized by the Covington Family YMCA. This year, the Cheerios Challenge had 1,115 participants, a jump up from last year 989 participants. In total, there were three races: 10K, 5K and a one-mile Fun Run. More than $12,000 was raised for the YMCA Partner with Youth Program which provides for children and their families to participate in YMCA programs who otherwise could not afford it.
