Lori Edge Cher and Jeff Cher announce the birth of their son Steele Alden Cher June 14 at Northside Hospital. He weighed 6 pounds and 13 ounces and was 20.5 inches long.

Maternal grandparents are Brenda and Wayne Edge of Covington. Maternal Great-grandparents are Mary and Howard Ellington of Covington.

Paternal grandparents are Nancy Cher, Warner Robins and Bob and Sandy Cher, of Greenville, S.C.

Big sister to the newborn is Layna Cher.
