Wayne Maloney of Covington died Nov. 21 at Crawford Long Hospital at the age of 63. Born Sept. 3, 1944 to the late Arthur H. (Buck) and Leslie Marie Ozburn Maloney, he was a member of Porterdale Baptist Church. Mr. Maloney owned and operated Maloney's Machine Works for over 35 years and was a former peace officer and code enforcement officer for the Newton County Sherriff's Office for 18 years.
