Mrs Vivian "Bea" Gaither Mitchell died March 20. The daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Bud (Betty) Gaither, she was born in 1955. Mrs. Mitchell graduated from Newton County High School and joined Poplar Hill A.M.E. Church at an early age. For several years she worked at Food Depot in Covington. Mrs. Mitchell was warm, humorous and a loving spirited person with an infectious smile that will be missed by all who knew and loved her. She was preceded in death by husband Mr. Roy Waymond Mitchell.

Surviving are parents Mr. and Mrs. Bud (Betty) Gaither; children Ms. Chrishaye Gaither, Mr. Royce (Monique) Mitchell, Mr. Markel Mitchell, Ms. Sequoyah Mitchell; brother Mr. Spurgeon (Anita) Gaither; grandchildren Saleen, Markel Jr. and Rahkel; nieces and nephew Nicole, Ambria and Junior; a host of close aunts, uncles, cousins and friends; a devoted and loving friend Chrisandra Wimberly.

Funeral services were held March 25 at Poplar Hill A.M.E. Church, Mansfield, with the Rev. W. H. Gaither officiating. Interment followed in the church cemetery.
