Randy Fincher, 58, of Oxford, died Dec. 23. The son of the late Morris B. Fincher, he was a native of Newton County. He was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather and enjoyed spending time with friends, hunting, fishing and the Georgia Bulldogs.

Surviving are wife of 40 years Karen Fincher; daughter and son-in-law, Randi and Kelly Hegwood of Covington; sons and daughter-in-law Scott and Deanna Fincher of Covington, Billy Dean Fincher of Oxford; grandchildren Nicky, Baleigh, Abigail, Kimberly, Taylor and Caleigh; mother and step-father Helen and Walker Sam Kirkpatrick; brothers John Fincher of California, Morris A. Fincher of Covington and Bill Fincher of Monticello; dog Ditto.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Dec. 27 in the Floyd Street chapel of Caldwell & Cowan with Pastor Brad Rutledge officiating. Interment followed at Lawnwood Memorial Park.
