Dear Editor: As a spectator in the Newton County Courthouse on Aug. 2, I watched a deadbeat parent walk free again. Why does Newton County support dead-beat parents? Why does our justice system allow a father of two lovely children to walk out of a courtroom without as much as a slap on the wrist after not paying court-ordered child support for the last six months?
