The Rev. Claude Grant died Oct. 18 in Rockdale County. The son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Alfred (Rosalyn) Mitchell, he was born in 1924 in Jamaica, West Indies. A private and humble person, the Rev. Grant was a pastor, historian, scholar and true believer in God.
