More accolades are rolling in for Georgia’s No. 1 ranked boys basketball team.

When the Atlanta Tip Off Club announced their mid-season All Atlanta Metro team, the Rams’ big three in seniors Isaiah Miller and J.D. Notae and sophomore Ashton Hagans were once again found adorning the roster.

The same trio made the preseason All Atlanta Metro squad, and have been showing people why.

Notae, a Jacksonville signee, leads the team in scoring, averaging 21.5 points per game, while Miller is second, tallying 19.5 points per contest. Hagans is almost clocking a double-double per game in points (14ppg) and assists (9.5apg).

The trio accounts for close to 70 percent of the Rams’ total scoring output.

The All Metro mid-season team is made up of just 30 players from the entire 18-county metro area. Newton was only one of two schools to place three or more players on the team.

Newton maintains its top-ranked status in all state top 10 polls, and holds to a No. 9 ranking in the MaxPreps Xcellent Top 25 rankings. At 23-0, the Rams have climbed two spots to No. 13 in the USA Today Super 25 high school hoops rankings.

Fellow Class AAAAAAA power McEachern is ranked No. 18 in the USA Today poll. The Rams defeated McEachern 82-66 in a preseason scrimmage.

Newton’s two remaining regular season games are home games against Shiloh on Tuesday night and  Archer on Friday night which will be the Rams’ senior night.
