Here's a weekly look at Covington's former prep stars now in college:
Football
Akeem Hunt, Newton - The Purdue sophomore running back started his second season with three carries. Hunt finished with 13 rushing yards, while returning one kickoff 21 yards.
The Boiler Makers tallied 547 yards of total offense in a 48-6 win over Eastern Kentucky.
Hunt and Purdue travel to Notre Dame on Saturday.
Anderico Bailey, Eastside - The Presbyterian College receiver caught two balls for 24 yards, including snagging one catch for 19 yards.
Antarius Terrell, Eastside - Also in Presbyterian's 45-10 win over Brevard, Terrell had three solo and one assisted tackle for the Blue Hose.
Both Bailey and Terrell return home Saturday in a matchup at Georgia Tech at 7 p.m. Saturday.
Sheldon Rankins, Eastside - Rankins was one of just four true freshmen who participated in Louisville's opening 32-14 win over Kentucky on Saturday. Rankins didn't record a tackle but still saw playing time for the nation's 24th ranked team.
