Here's a weekly look at Covington's former prep stars now in college:

Football
Anderico Bailey, Eastside - The Presbyterian College receiver caught two balls for 21 yards as the Eastside alum returned to the Atlanta area during the Blue Hose's 59-3 loss at Georgia Tech Saturday.
One of his catches went for 23 yards, the other a loss of 2 yards.

Antarius Terrell, Eastside - Also returning to the Atlanta area at Georgia Tech for Presbyterian, Terrell saw action against Georgia Tech.
Terrell had one solo and one assisted tackle.

D.J. Hill, Newton - The sophomore linebacker didn't record a statistic but saw playing time in Virginia's dramatic win over Penn State Saturday.
The Cavaliers kept the Nittany Lions winless as Virginia quarterback Michael Rocco threw the game-winning 6-yard touchdown pass to Jake McGee with 1:28 remaining. Penn State's Sam Fricken then missed his fourth field goal, from 42 yards out, to give Virginia the win.

Sheldon Rankins, Eastside - Rankins had his first collegiate tackle for No. 19 Louisville in the Cardinals 35-17 win over Missouri State Saturday.
The tackle came against Michael Cooper-Falls on a 5-yard gain on first-and-10 from the MSU 38-yard line on the third-to-last play of the game.

Devon Edwards, Alcovy - The Duke freshman played in his first game Saturday. The former All-State running back was not able to help, however, as Duke fell at Stanford 50-13.

Devon Mann, Newton - Mann followed up his 77-yard receiving performance against Howard with one catch for 23 yards for Morehouse College in its 39-18 win over Edward Waters College Saturday.

Zac Johnson, Eastside - Johnson tallied one solo and six assisted tackles in Charleston Southern's 31-10 loss to Jacksonville Saturday.

Soccer
Ashton Ziadie, Eastside - Eastside girls' soccer's all-time leading scorer is currently a member of Columbus State, which is off to a 4-0 record and is No. 11 ranking. Ziadie started all 23 games as a sophomore, and in her junior year is yet to see playing time.

Katie McCallum, Eastside - After leading the Eastside girls' soccer team in goals scored in 2011, the Clayton State freshman has helped the Lakers get off to a 3-1 start. McCallum has played in all four games, scoring one goal, a game-winner in a 2-1 victory over Tennessee Wesleyan.

Tara Harrison, Eastside - As a defender, Harrison has been a big part of LaGrange College's 3-1 start. The Panthers, of the USA South Athletic Conference, have had shutouts in all three of their wins.
Harrison, who is the second most assists in Eastside girls' soccer history, started one game for LaGrange, tallying three shots, in its 1-0 opening day win over Florida College.

Cross Country
Chrissie McLemore, Eastside - The Brewton-Parker freshman and the rest of the Barons will compete in their first meet Saturday at mercer.
Brewton-Parker was scheduled to compete in Milledgeville on Aug. 31 but the event was canceled.
