In concert with Service Corps of Retired Executives, the Conyers-Rockdale Chamber of Commerce operates the Business Resource Center for entrepreneurs to meet with SCORE representatives for counseling or mentoring pertaining to private businesses. The Resource Center is conveniently located in the Chamber of Commerce building, 1186 Scott Street in Conyers.

Mentoring sessions with SCORE may be arranged by calling the Chamber at (770) 483-7049 for an appointment. Assistance might be obtained with regard to the preparation of a credible business plan, necessary for any successful application for a Small Business Administration loan. Advice can also be obtained concerning the execution of such a plan. A broad array of areas of assistance is available.

The chamber conducts a wide assortment of programs to assist local businesses. Perhaps the most widely acclaimed is the Opportunities for Promoting Entrepreneurship and Networking program which is a 6-week course taught by successful local business people. This six-week program, run twice annually, spring and fall, is unique in that it doesn’t attempt to impart "ivory tower" academic theory, but winning practices and techniques, taught by business people who have successful experience in the real world of business. This program has over 200 graduates from Conyers, Rockdale and surrounding communities. It has been cited by Georgia Governor Perdue as the type of program Georgia needs.

A precursor into O.P.E.N. is the "Are You Ready?" seminar, produced in Conyers by The Conyers-Rockdale Chamber and SCORE. This seminar has received high marks from the attendees each time it has run.
