Plans set for library grounds renovation

The landscaping around Nancy Guinn Memorial library in Olde Town Conyers is set to get a new look. The Library's Board of Trustees approved moving forward with the design of phase one a renovation of the library grounds.

The conceptual master plan has already been designed by Tunnell and Tunnell Landscape Architecture of Atlanta.

Several factors influenced the Board's unanimous vote to approve the plan for phase one, including the fact that Path Foundation organizers have requested that a portion of the path come across library property and the current renovation on the library building. Cooperative planning between the library and the foundation will maximize the results of both projects.

The conceptual drawing for the landscaping project will be on display at the library through May 25.

The public is encouraged to stop by the library to view the design.
The Nancy Guinn Memorial Library is located at 864 Green Street.

Operating hours are Monday - Thursday, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., Friday and Saturday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday from 1-5 p.m.
