New editor at the Rockdale News

Michelle Kim has been named the new editor of The Rockdale News. Kim will replace Tisa Smart Washington, who is stepping down to spend more time with her family. Washington will continue to contribute articles and give counsel to The News.

Publisher T. Pat Cavanaugh praised Washington's efforts in setting the standard of community reporting that the paper follows. He added that he was glad that Washington was going to continue to write and be a special adviser to the paper.
Kim is a graduate of the College of William and Mary in Williamsburg, Va., and was formerly the news editor of The Covington News.
