Milstead Ave. reopens after police bust rolling meth lab

UPDATE: Pine Street Elementary School parking lot and Milstead Avenue have now reopened. The Olde Town Conyers Trick-r-Treating event will still be held at 10 a.m.

Conyers police stopped a pickup truck that turned out to have all the ingredients of a rolling meth lab on Milstead Avenue in the Pine Street Elementary parking lot around 5:30 a.m. Two white males, in their 40s and 50s have been arrested. PSE is closed, Milstead near Main Street is blocked off, and the Rockdale Women's House has been evacuated until further notice while the DEA decontaminates the truck. The county facilities, except the tax assessor's office, county human resources, and stormwater are the only county buildings closed off. Check back to for more.
