Mr. Mahlon C. Grant, age 75 of Conyers, died Monday, September 19, 2011.  He was preceded in death by his daughter, Adrea Steele.  He is survived by his wife, Penny Grant, Conyers; daughters and son-in-law, Vickie and Jimmy Davies, Conyers, Tawana Maughon, Loganville; grandchildren, Grant Maughon, Mahlon B. Taylor, Amber Maughon, Christopher Davies, Elizabeth Davies, Abigail Steele, Adeline Steele; great-grandchildren, Ty West, Talan West, Mason Maughon, Maclain Maughon, Joshua Davies, Wyatt Taylor; several cousins; one nephew.  Mr. Grant was a veteran of the United States Army serving in Korea.  He was owner of Thrift Town Store and was a manager at Colonial Store and Big Star.  Funeral services will be held Friday, September 23, 2011 at 11 a.m. at Scot Ward's Green Meadow Chapel with Rev.
