The possibility of adjusting our county government to a county manager system has been a hotly contested topic on our opinion page, with proponents and opponents of the idea voicing their thoughts in letters and columns. We’re all for people sending these to us, and we will continue to run them.

You’ve also commented on our Facebook page, and we’ll run a story Sunday addressing the votes you entered on our website.

But even more importantly, you need to let our elected officials know how you feel. The Board of Commissioners are having a work session Nov. 7 where they will discuss this issue, and while guests will not be allowed to speak at the event, you can get all the facts there and address them at later meetings where there will be a spot on the agenda for guests to speak.

Be sure to attend that meeting and tell the BOC how you feel. What happens there may affect our county for years to come.
