Your health care has never been in better hands than it is now in Newton County.

Newton Medical Center continues to earn honors for its services, most recently receiving recognition as one of the top-tier healthcare providers in the state by the Georgia Hospital Association and the Partnership for Health and Accountability.

The medical center also was recently honored for its pulmonary service and gastrointestinal treatment, which earned Top 10 rankings from HealthGrades.

There was more good news healthwise and for the medical center this week with the passage of the SPLOST on Tuesday.

There was $4 million in the Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax committed to expanding the emergency room, with the addition of 12 treatment rooms.

It’s an investment in our health, and money well spent.
