Letter: Belton endorses Brian Strickland for state senate seat
Belton Endorsement

To the editor,

I am officially endorsing Brian Strickland for the state senate seat left vacant from Rick Jefferes who is running for Lt Governor.

I had the privilege of sitting next to Brian in the General Assembly the last few years. I know him to be honest, intelligent, and kind. He was repeatedly given difficult bills to handle and worked across the aisle to get them done. He is an excellent legislator and was appointed a Chairman in front of his peers.

Most people don’t know this, but my 1st bill, "Kelsey’s Law" was in real trouble on the last day of Session my first year. Brian endangered his own bill to make sure my bill got done. That’s the kind of guy he is... sacrificing his own interests to help others.

Brian will do a great job for Newton County. He’s a family man, a father, and a great Christian. He has my full and unequivocal confidence.

Dave Belton,

Georgia House District 112
