William “Gene” Dunevant of Covington, formerly of Moultrie, passed away November 16, 2015, at the age of 75. Mr. Dunevant proudly served his country in the United States Army and was a member of the American Legion Post No. 77 in Conyers. He was employed by Mobil Chemical Company. Mr. Dunevant was preceded in death by his wife, Mary (Ray) Dunevant; his father, Harold W. Dunevant; and his mother and step-father, Verdie and Clifford Morrison.
Survivors include his brothers and sister-in-law, Walter “Reggie” and Betty Dunevant of Conyers, Harvey “Don” and Lorraine Dunevant of The Villages, Florida; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and cousins; as well as his aunt, Edna Wilson of Covington.
Funeral Services for Mr. Dunevant will be held Thursday, November 19, 2015, 3 p.m., at the Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 1215 Access Road, in Covington. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday, one hour prior to the service, from 2–3 p.m. Following his service, Mr. Dunevant will be cremated and interment will follow at a later date in Moultrie.
