Mrs. Virginia Raynor “Jenny” Bond of Covington passed away June 25, 2011 at Newton Medical Center. She was born July 11, 1949 in Shelby, North Carolina to the late Mr. Bruce Raynor and her mother Mrs. Coleen Dorsey Raynor who survives her. Mrs. Bond grew up in Decatur, GA and was a 1967 graduate of Southwest Dekalb High School; she has lived for the last 40 years in the Conyers and Covington areas. Mrs. Bond worked for 30 years with the State Department of Transportation in Atlanta and retired in 2008. She attended First Baptist Church of Covington and Lakepoint Community Church in Eatonton, she enjoyed spending time at the lake, and she loved her family, her friends and her babies the dogs and enjoyed vacationing in Daytona Beach Florida. The family would like to express their thanks to the staff at Newton Medical Center for the exceptional care she received and the compassion showed them during her stay there.
Mrs. Bond is survived by her Husband Reggie Kenneth Bond and her Son and Daughter-In-Law Brad and Jennifer Bond of Marietta. She is also survived by her three Grandchildren; Jake, Emily and Elizabeth along with her Brother and Sister-In-Law Rob and JoAnn Raynor of Covington, her Sister and Brother-In-Law Pam and Dura Keahey of Conyers.
Funeral services for Mrs. Bond will be held at 3 o’clock Monday, June 27, 2011 at the First Baptist Church of Covington with Reverend Jason Dees and Reverend Rob Raynor officiating. The family will receive friends from 2:00pm until 3:00pm on Monday prior to the service at the church. Interment will follow at New Covington Cemetery. In lieu of flowers those desiring may make donations to Lakepoint Community Church, Youth Room Project 940 Harmony Road, Eatonton, GA 31024 in honor of Mrs. Jenny Bond.
