Sybil Tomlin Davis, 78, of Griffin, passed away Tuesday, July 12, 2016, at Brightmoor Nursing Center in Griffin. She was born on July 18, 1937, in Covington to the late Julius and Florrie Jenkins Mobley. Davis is preceded in death by her husbands, Ray G. Tomlin and Turner S. Davis, and her brother, Howard Mobley. Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Wanda and Wayne Liles of Concord; sons and daughters-in-law, Chris and Wylene Tomlin of Jackson, Steve and Amy Tomlin of Senoia; stepchildren, Allen Davis (Kay), Douglas Davis (Pam), Denise Krajeski (Bobby); sister and brother-in-law, Judy and Ronald Martin of Covington; 10 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Davis was a member of First Baptist Church of Griffin, GA. After 25 years of service she retired from the family business; T & T Meats, Inc. in Jonesboro and McDonough. Mrs. Davis enjoyed activities with her church, and loved spending time with her family and friends. She was known by the ones that knew her as a sweet and kind lady who will be dearly missed. A funeral service was held on Thursday, July 14, 2016 at noon in the chapel of Haisten McCullough Funeral Home. Interment will follow in High Point Baptist Church Cemetery in Covington. The family received friends at the funeral home on Thursday, July 14, 2016 from 10 a.m. until noon.
