Mrs. Scharley McCart, age 70, of Rutledge passed away July 11, 2014 at Clearview Medical Center in Monroe.  She was born July 8, 1944 in Talladega, Alabama and grew up in the Talladega and Oxford, Alabama area.  Mrs. McCart was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend, a kind gentle person who loved working in her yard and spending time with her family.  She was supportive, caring, fun person who will be missed by her family who loved her deeply.  Mrs. McCart was preceded in death by her husband, F. Harold “Mac” McCart her son, Charles McCart her father, Charles Brannon Smith her mother, Imogene Hubbard Headrick and her brother, Frank Cameron Headrick.

Mrs. McCart is survived by her daughters, Tia McCart and Tara McCart both of Rutledge, her granddaughter, Tiar McCart and Tegan McCart, her great grandchildren, Braden and Waverly Lorde, her sisters and brother-in-law, Elaine and David Smith of Anniston, Alabama Donna Smith also of Anniston, Jamie Headrick of Pensacola, Florida and Brandi Crane of Anniston, Alabama along with numerous nieces, nephews, other family and close friends.

Funeral services for Mrs. McCart will be held at 2 o’clock Tuesday, July 15, 2014 at the Chapel of J.C. Harwell and Son.  Interment will follow at Lawnwood Memorial Park.  The family will receive friends from 12:00 noon until 2:00pm on Tuesday prior to the service.  J.C.
