Mrs. Margaret Hale, of Dublin, Georgia formerly of the Covington-Social Circle area passed away Friday, October 14, 2011.  She was born December 19, 1921 in Covington to the late Arthur and Minnie Jackson Carroll.  Mrs. Hale was a longtime member of Social Circle First Baptist Church, and of the Covington First United Methodist Church.  She worked for many years as the secretary to the superintendent of school for the Social Circle City School System. 

Mrs. Hale is survived by her son and daughter-in-law Glenn and Peggy Hale of Dublin, GA, her grandchildren Rick Hale of Alpharetta, Eric Hale of Lawrenceville, Brandon Dever of Flowery Branch and Joy Scarbrough of Newborn along with her great grandchildren Amber and Anna Scarbrough and Alex and Luke Hale.  She is also survived by her sister Mrs. Doris King of Marietta, other family and close friends.

Funeral services for Mrs. Hale will be held at 11 O’clock Monday, October 17, 2011 at the First Baptist Church of Social Circle.  The family will receive friends at the church prior to the service starting at 10 O’clock.  Interment will follow at the Social Circle City Cemetery.  J.
