       Mr. Johnny "JD" McGuire was born February 4, 1948 to the late Mr. & Mrs. Willie (Minnie) McGuire in Morgan County.

     He attended school in Newton County. "JD" retired from the City of Covington Sanitation  Department, after 36 years of service. He enjoyed his retirement fishing and working in his yard, his passion was gardening and growing lovely flowers.

     He was preceded in death by one sister, Mrs. Louise Malcom, one brother, Mr. Walter McGuire.

     He leaves to cherish his memories; his loving wife, Mrs. Linda McGuire, three children, Ms. Felica Benton, Mr. Ralph Barnes and Mr. Edward Benton, three grandchildren, five sisters, Ms. Dora Waller, Ms. Annie Carter, Ms. Minnie Lou Crowley, Ms. Thelma Perry and Ms. Gloria McGuire, four brothers, Mr. & Mrs. Willie James McGuire, Mr. Albert McGuire, Mr. Alonzo McGuire, Mr. Riley McGuire and a host of nieces, nephews, other loving relatives and friends.
