Yates

Mr. Edward B. (Ed) Yates, 70 of Covington passed away March 11, 2011 at his residence. Mr. Yates was born in Stone Mountain, Ga. to the late Earnest and Rosie Bell Eargle Yates. He was a lifelong dairy farmer in Newton, Jasper and Putnam counties and was a strong, hard working man who would do anything for anyone. He was a loving father, grandfather, brother and uncle. Mr. Yates was predeceased by his brother Glenn Yates and his grandson William Michael Stone.  Surviving are his son William Edward Yates of Covington, daughter and son in law Wanda and Rich Jenovese of Jackson, his siblings Gertrude Taggart, Grover Yates, Gladys Brewer, Earnest Yates, Jr., Stella Smith, Darlene Smallwood, Bobbie Jane Crews and Alvin Yates, grandchildren Crystal Stone, Stephanie Stone, Heather Stone and Amy Stone, Nichole Jenovese, Jessica Jenovese, Hannah Jenovese, and Sarah Jenovese, many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday March 15, 2011 at 11:00 AM from the chapel of Wheeler Funeral Home with Rev. Mike Franklin officiating. Interment will follow at Salem United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday evening from 6 to 9 PM at the funeral home.
