PARR  Charles E. Parr of Covington, GA died Tuesday March 9, 2010.  The body was donated to the Emory School of Medicine.  He was born on April 11, 1914 in Conyers, GA to Noel Guy and Faye Maddox Parr. Mr. Parr was a farmer, Chairman of Newton County Tax Assessors. Member of the Golden Fleece Masonic Lodge, Lifetime Member of VFW Post 5290 and a Member of the Covington Elks Lodge. Charles with other members of the Rocky Plains Community founded the Rocky Plains Volunteer Fire Department in 1965.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with his family,children and grandchildren.  Mr. Parr served proudly in the United States Air Force, serving in the Pacific during World War II and also in Korea during the Korean War and retired in 1961 with the rank of Senior Master Sergeant.    Mr. Parr is survived by Daughter and Son-in-law: Martha Ellen and Lyle Arnold, Covington, GA Daughter-in-law Leslie Parr, Arlington, NE. Sister Annette Kinsey, Monroe GA. Grandchildren: Robert and Marrianne Arnold; Covington, GA, Matthew and Dana Beth Miller Arnold, San Antonio TX, Brooke Parr Schonlau; Arlington NE
Jennifer and Curt Lachner, Spencer IA; Justin and Erin Parr; Lawrence KS; Great Grandchildren, Emily and Logan Arnold, Conner and Charleigh Schonlau and Emmylou Parr. Fosterchildren, Richard Frost, Tina Frost, Michael Riley, and Kim Riley.
 He was preceded in death by Wife, Dorothy Parr.Son,Charles Guy Parr Brother, Volley Parr Sisters- Evelyn Davis, Sarah Oldham, Martha Purdy.
 Memorial services will be held at 2 pm on March 13, 2010 at Chapel of Harwell-Wheeler Funeral Home.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, March 13, 2010 from 1 to 2.
