Mary Jane Meyer Wysocki, 91, of Monticello, died June 2 at The Retreat Nursing Home in Monticello. She was born and raised in Plymouth, Pa. Her parents were the late Joseph Meyer and Agnes Muchler Meyer. She moved to New Jersey as a young woman where she met and married her late husband Stanley Francis Wysocki, who preceded her in death in 1991. Mrs. Wysocki loved to entertain and play cards and shop at Wal-Mart. Her favorite pastime was spending time at the beach or pool with her grandchildren. She was a world class whistler and a danger with a wooden spoon. Mrs. Wysocki was a member of the First Methodist Church of Scotch Plains, N. J. Before retirement she was a key punch operator for "Aunt Lorraine" (Compu Data Corporation).
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law Stephen and Mary Jenifer Wysocki of Monticello; grandchildren Amberly Victoria Kenny and Jacek Stephen Wysocki, both of Covington; great-grandchildren Noah Jacek Wysocki and Isaiah Riley Wysocki; and sister and brothers Erma Meyer Karis of Wilkes Barre, Pa., Carl Meyer of Kingston, Pa., and Joseph Meyer of North Carolina.
A memorial service will be held at 6 p.m. Saturday, June 4, at the chapel of Jordan Funeral Home in Monticello. Chaplain Peter Smith will officiate. The family suggests in lieu of flowers donations be made to The Retreat Nursing Home, 898 College St., Monticello, GA 31064.
